“Paddy Has Gone for a Soldier: Songs of the Irish-American Soldier in the Civil War” with Mike Plunkett

Through stories and songs Mike Plunkett brings to life the experience of the Irish immigrants who became American patriots. Performing in period uniform, he plays songs ranging from old Irish ballads to Civil War era songs of both the North and the South on guitar, mandolin, and octave mandolin. The stories are drawn from research into the daily lives of Irish American soldiers. The program is free. No tickets are necessary. Seats are on a “first come” basis.
