Lewis' neuroses have become a part of our vernacular with "I had a date from Hell!" In 2006, he finally got his due when Yale's Book of Quotations attributed the now-common phrase, "the [blank] from hell" to him. He’s loved having been a part of HBO’s eight seasons of "Curb Your Enthusiasm", alongside his longtime friend, Larry David. The free-wheeling spirit of the show fit like a glove. He’s been in a broad spectrum of films, ranging from the cult-classic mocumentary, “Diary of a Young Comic”, on to “Leaving Las Vegas” and the critically acclaimed indie, “Drunks”.
