Exhibition at ATHM: “Color Revolution: Style Meets Science in the 1960s”

Wednesday, Nov 27, 2013 10:00a to 5:00p

"Color Revolution" celebrates an artistic, cultural, and technological explosion of color and design. Countering the sparse styles of the post-World War II era, chemists and manufacturers began experimenting with new fibers, dyes and patterns, creating new pop and neon color palettes and design motifs. The result was the funky and psychedelic styles of the ‘60s and early ‘70s.

"Color Revolution" is on view at the American Textile History Museum through January 26.
