Walden Theatre

The mission of Walden Theatre is to provide the opportunity for young people to grow and develop through the comprehensive study of theatre.

Nancy Niles Sexton founded Walden Theatre in 1976 with the dream of creating a theater conservatory to engage young people in theater through a formal curriculum and high level of performance.

Today, Walden Theatre has become a multi-faceted institution that serves 200 students in the Conservatory Program, and thousands more through the Outreach Program.

Our continuing success is built on respect for young people's ability to achieve and recognize excellence, and our respect for serious theater as a mirror on the world.
