"Friendship of Nations: Polish Shi’ite Showbiz" examines the unlikely convergence in Poland and Iran’s histories from 17th-century Sarmatism to the 21st-century Green Movement. Slavs and Tatars presents sculptural objects, woven tapestries, lecture performances and photographic murals that address how the countries’ respective efforts toward self-determination have shaped the larger geopolitical landscape, and the major narratives of Communism and Islam.
