Junko Ueno Garrett Piano Concert "Piano Journey in Japan: Import, Synthesis, and Export - From the First Piano Piece in Japan to

Junko has been introducing Japanese music to the world, and this Concert has received the grant from the Japan Foundation. Junko will start with the first Japanese piano piece (1900), and pieces in next generations, then finally play music by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Nobuo Uematsu (music of final fantasy). It will be a great opportunity to learn Japanese culture and history behind the music since she will talk about it between playing pieces.
