Located in the heart of the Downtown Los Gatos, The 180 Restaurant & Lounge brings new life to one of the most energetic areas of Silicon Valley, breaking down the barriers of traditional new American cuisine by combining fine dinning with an ultra lounge experience. The 180 boasts New American flavors combined with small plates that can be catered to the most sensitive palate. Maintaining the quality of a traditional fine dinning establishment while simultaneously reinventing the ambience, clientele & atmosphere, The 180 Restaurant & Lounge introduces the cuisine & atmosphere to the upscale urban professional. Sharing the same stairwell as the Downtown Los Gatos mainstay, Mountain CharleyÕs Saloon, The 180 also houses a super trendy lounge. The lounge is equipped with an onyx lit bar, marble accents, leather-lined tables in a velvet-rich Lounge. Since opening in 2005, The 180 Restaurant & Lounge has been the talk of the town & has received a number of three star reviews.Executive chef: Nick DifuDining Style: Fine DiningCross Street: Main StreetParking: Public Lot

I've been here on a few occasions for various reasons and now feel qualified to write an accurate review. This is one of the better hidden gems in Los Gatos. The first a trip to happy hour in the bar with some friends followed by a short walk across the hall to Mountain Charlie's for live music. The service is tremendous and atmosphere outstanding. Second time was to hang out in the lounge area for dessert and wine. Again 5 stars!
Most recently I sat down for dinner and while the service remains impeccable and food remarkable, we were somewhat ignored and had to settle in for a long dinner with empty water glasses. That isn't so much a comprehensive criticism as an anecdote of how they handle crowds. They had a wedding rehearsal dinner and were short staffed so I'm not upset that we were rarely served, just the fact that they didn't mention the strain or do anything to better accommodate their regular diners. When served, they were their usual best!
