The Walter Pyramid

MODS is proud to feature Carrie Ann Inaba from Dancing with the Stars as our keynote speaker, bringing together professional dancers and choreographers from Broadway, ballet, world-touring companies, music videos, film, and television to teach participants their moves and routines. Master Dancers include: Aaron Cash original Tap Dog as MC, Artem Chigvintsev instructing Latin Ballroom from ABC's So you Think You Can Dance, Suzanne Easter Cher's lead dancer will teach Jazz, Bethany Strong lead dancer from Bolden will do African, Carlton Wilborn does Modern/Lyrical and is an award winning author, and Cloud Campos and Jaime Burgos from the Groovaloo's and as seen on ABC's Super Stars of Dance will conduct lessons in Hip-Hop. Participants are exposed to a rich mix of information in a fun and professional environment, working with each master instructor in a group setting; learning steps, perfecting techniques, asking questions, and gaining knowledge of the history and nuance of each dance style from 8am to 3pm. A Dance Showcase from 4:30pm to 7pm is included in the $25 admission price and will feature Hip-Hop Crews, performing dance groups, and individuals to close out the day’s events. Admission to the Dance showcase can be purchased separately for just $10. The Dance seminar and Dance Showcase will be performed in the Walter Pyramid on the campus of California State university, long Beach.
