The Ex
The Ex Remove performer from this event
Dutch anarcho punks the Ex have been making an exhilarating, politically charged racket since 1979. Over the years, the band's sound--at its core a taut No Wave-inspired style of post-punk--has come to incorporate Eastern European folk music, funk, free jazz, Ethiopian music, and other disparate styles....
Darkside Remove performer from this event
Experimental dance music producer Nicolas Jaar and his touring guitarist, Dave Harrington, paired up as Darkside to release a self-titled EP on the Clown and Sunset label in 2011. It contained three slow, hypnotic, and untitled grooves featuring slivers of Jaar's falsetto and Harrington's slightly bluesy flecks of guitar....

The self-described "fuzz-folk" project Neutral Milk Hotel was one of the primary outgrowths of the Elephant 6 Recording Company collective, a coterie of like-minded lo-fi indie groups -- including the Apples in Stereo, the Olivia Tremor Control, and Secret Square -- who shared musicians, ideas, and sensibilities....

The first member of the lauded freak-folk ensemble Animal Collective to strike out on his own, Panda Bear (Noah Lennox) released the elegiac YOUNG PRAYER, a song cycle inspired by the death of his father, in 2004, but didn’t garner major attention as a solo artist until ‘07’s PERSON PITCH....
Caribou Remove performer from this event
Canadian musician's one-man project (originally called Manitoba) that seamlessly blends electronic production with psychedelic pop pastiche. ~ Rovi
Jesu Remove performer from this event
Following a brief stint in Napalm Death and the dissolution of his seminal industrial-metal project, Godflesh, Justin Broadrick made a dramatic about-face with his next project, Jesu. Though the band contains elements of both metal and industrial's punishing textures, Jesu in fact offers a beautiful variation on the shoegaze sounds of My Bloody Valentine and the like, with elements of ambient and outright pop cropping up as well....

Influenced by the likes of DAngelo and Stevie Wonder along with Burial and Mount Kimbie, London-based producer James Blake first gave the world a taste of his quirky, R&B-sampling strain of dubstep in 2009 when his Air & Lack Thereof 12* appeared on the Hemlock label....

Connan Mockasin
Connan Mockasin Remove performer from this event
The bombastic, quirky trio Connan Mockasin formulated their trippy brand of indie pop in the early 2000s. Led by Conan Hosford and backed up by Ross Walker and Seamus Ebbs, the group alchemized a sound that nodded to the soporific trippiness of Lothar & the Hand People, the bluesy swagger of Jimi Hendrix, and the puckish bite of the B-52's....

Northern California native Chelsea Wolfe’s sound is best described with broad strokes: elemental, intense, radiant, ancient yet modern, intimate yet expansive, dark and sparkling. I Break Horses
I Break Horses Remove performer from this event
Stockholm, Sweden-based duo I Break Horses reenergize their shoegaze and dream pop influences, adding buzzing synthesizer to layers of distorted guitar and gauzy, majestic vocals.
