If you’d like to explore what it’s like to be ageing without children, join us for this very special one-day Gateway Women workshop in central London.
A day of sharing, connecting, healing and future planning for Gateway Women in what would have been your Grandmothering-years
£150 (concessions available)
The Wisdom Circle is for you if you are:
a woman who wanted to have children but it didn’t work out for some reason and now you’re dealing with everyone having grandchildren too!
becoming socially… Show more isolated because of not being a grandmother and finding that the grief you thought you’d left behind when you couldn’t be a mother is coming up again.
wondering what your life’s legacy is or could be as a woman without children…
anxious about your impending old age as a woman without children and prepared to consider creative solutions…
annoyed by the few and uninspiring ‘roles’ and stereotypes available for childless older women!
looking to meet women who share the experience of being non-grandmothers in a mother and grandmother-obsessed world!
One of these first floor rooms is our workshop venue for the day
During our day together you will:
Unpick the assumptions that society has about ageing without children, and start letting go of what doesn’t ‘fit’ you;
Discover how unexamined and unexpressed grief about your childlessness may be holding you back in surprising ways, and get the support and tools you need to do your grief work and move forward with your life
Meet a fantastic bunch of women who just happen to be childless and who ‘get’ how hard it can be to find our place in our currently motherhood and granmotherhood obsessed culture!
Share your wisdom, strength and experience with each other so that together we can start making changes in the way we approach ageing without children
