EMMA JOHNSON is one of the few clarinettists to have established an international career as a soloist. In 1984 she won the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition and was a medal winner in the Eurovision Young Musician.

CHRIS WEST is principal bass of the LFO. His appearances with the Guildhall Strings has seen him perform far and wide - from New York's Carnegie Hall to the National Concert Hall in Taipei and his recordings with BMG/RCA and Hyperion are regularly broadcast on the BBC.
