An evening of grand orchestral music, stunning lighting displays, and breathtaking images from the World Wildlife Fund projected on two giant screens, will provide a multi sensory experience unlike any other. Exciting new commissions will be aired alongside spine-tingling choral favourites and British Proms Classics for audience participation, whilst our poignant tribute to the legendary Luciano Pavarotti will be performed by the Welsh National Opera star Wynne Evans. The dynamic all male string quartet Eclipse Strings will deliver an epic Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, and Judith Howarth, one of the most intelligent and moving sopranos in the land, will give an emotional rendition of Madam Butterfly’s Vieni, Vieni. We are delighted to welcome back the Eton College Pipers who will perform with Pipe Major Jim Motherwell, The Queen’s 10th Personal Piper, in what will be his final UK public appearance. The Royal Albert Hall will be adorned with flowers and decorated with bunting and balloons for this annual gala spectacular presented by Angela Rippon and conducted by David Arnold. World Wide Fund for Nature is this year’s beneficiary charity. Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded or resold.
