Jay Ungar and Molly Mason are among the most celebrated duos in American acoustic music. Blending violin, mandolin, guitar, banjo, and piano with beautiful vocals, they create timeless renditions of traditional Appalachian melodies, Cajun and Celtic fiddle tunes, and original songs. Perhaps best known for their performance of Ungar's haunting tune, Ashokan Farewell, which formed a lasting memory for viewers of Ken Burns' series The Civil War.
