Apocalyptica is a Finnish band consisting of three, formerly four, classically trained cellists and, since 2003, a drummer. Their speciality is metal music played on cellos (cello rock), though they also play classical music.

These guys are unlikely candidate for best metal band around. They combine their classically trained Cellist backgrounds with their love of heavy metal. Combine that with covers from Metallica to Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King and you've got a sure winner. Not to mention, they are spectacular performers as well.
