Harnett County residents can get free income tax prepartion at the library on Wednesdays during February and March. Tax preparation is provided by VITA - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance - and is sponsored by the Campbell University School of Business. Volunteers can prepare most returns although there are some restrictions. Call the library for more information. Returns are prepared on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring W-2s, photo ID, and Social Security card.
