Do you need holiday cheer? Celebrate the season with the Master Singers of Lexington as the chorus performs two major works for chorus, strings, and organ, Mozart’s `Missa Brevis` and Pergolesi’s `Magnificat`. The late afternoon concert will be presented without intermission and conclude with a selection of familiar carols, a Master Singers tradition. Join us for a festive reception with seasonal refreshments following the concert.

The rich texture and late baroque style of the Magnificat is similar to works of Bach and Handel. Also in the baroque style, Missa Brevis offers flowing and expressive solo lines and closes with a prayer for peace, `Dona nobis pacem`.
