New, original ballet by Bluegrass Youth Ballet Director, Adalhi Aranda Corn. The Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale brought to life through dance! The Emperor of China, enchanted by the song of the nightingale! When given a mechanical bird, all interest is lost in the real nightingale, and she escapes the palace. The overused mechanical bird breaks down. A few years later the Emperor is deathly ill, and the real nightingale returns to recover the Emperor's health with her beautiful song.
