The University of Kentucky School of Art & Visual Studies Fine Arts Institute offers non-credit art classes for adults in the community in the evenings and on weekends. "Pema" means "lotus" in Sanskrit. The lotus grows out of murky water into pristine beauty, representing the path from ignorance to understanding. The P.E.M.A. method of art-making leads to conscious understanding of unconscious themes, desires and emotions. And you learn how to make gorgeous original paintings!
