J String is the duo of Jacob Yates (cello) and Jessica Hendy (voice). They became fast friends and after discovering a mutual love for music and covers of well-known songs, they decided to collaborate. Jessica comes from a theatrical background; she has performed on Broadway in CATS, AIDA, and AMOUR. Jacob comes from classical roots; he has studied at the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, played in master classes for the world's best classical musicians and… Show more has performed multiple times alongside fiddle legend Mark O'Connor. Because these two come from such different backgrounds, creating music together is very exciting. Since their first collaboration as a duo they haven't stopped creating fun and quirky covers of songs we all know and love.
