Of Water and Spirit: New Paintings by Patrick Adams

An exhibition of eleven, new large-scaled paintings that are inspired by Adams’ observations of the light, color, and forms found in the surface patterns of water on creeks and streams.

Adams interprets and transforms the closely observed phenomena of water in the natural world, creating thickly painted, multi-layered, colorful, and luminous paintings. Adams explained he’s evoking “a world, at once shadowy and glittering, where spirit and matter meet.”
