Unveiling the “Charter for Compassion”
November 15, 2009
Lexington, Kentucky
The “Charter for Compassion” is Karen Armstrong’s effort to promote the principles of the Golden Rule across the religious and global spectrum. Bringing together voices from all cultures and religions, the “Charter for Compassion” seeks to remind the world we already share the core principles of compassion.
On Sunday, November 15, you are invited to attend a local unveiling of the “Charter for Compassion” and discuss issues of compassion in our community and around the world. Come and take part in the conversation at the Lexington Public Library, 140 East Main Street, Conference Room A, at 2:00 PM on November 15.
The Lexington-based Franciscan Peace Center, in partnership with The Interfaith Alliance of the Bluegrass, is hosting this event. It is free and open to the public.
