Spanish Mustangs: Photographs by John S. Hockensmith

Hockensmith is a resident of Georgetown, where he has had an accomplished photography studio for over thirty years. The magnificent photographs on display in the exhibit are from his newly released book, "Spanish Mustangs in the Great American West: Return of the Horse to America," which follows the history of the Spanish mustang's arrival in this country over 500 years ago to the present day efforts to preserve their colonial bloodlines. Complementing the photographs are a variety of decorative art objects featuring Spanish mustangs and the Old West.

The exhibit opening and gallery reception will also feature a book signing by John S. Hockensmith for his new book. Proceeds from the sale of the book go to benefit The Hope Center and the Headley-Whitney Museum.
