Gail Platz, who grew up at Pleasant Valley Sanctuary during the tenure of her sanctuary director father, Alvah Sanborn, inherited his keen eye for the natural world as well as his photographic skills. Since those days, Gail has travelled and photographed widely, including to northern locales such as Alaska and Spitzbergen.
