Oliverio's Italian Chop House

Carl Oliverio said he personally chose every item on the menu of his new restaurant, Oliverio's Italian Chop House in Lemont. "I spent a lot of years eating out, and put on a lot of weight doing it," he said with a laugh. What Oliverio came up with is part classic American steak house and part Italian bistro, with plenty of chicken, fish and salads thrown in. Try the 16-ounce New York strip steak, a thick cut that is lightly seared on the outside and tender and juicy inside. Or have the crab meat stuffed shrimp served with delicious crab filling. The crab melts in your mouth, thanks to the appetizer of jumbo lump crab cakes. They are fantastic! The crab cakes and New York strip are among the dishes already proving popular at the young eatery, along with Chilean sea bass, coconut shrimp, scallops with asparagus risotto and cavatelli served in vodka sauce. Pleasant dining and superb cuisine.
