Coming to Penn's Peak, Josh Turner!!
Josh Turner grew up in a house where traditional country music was a staple, so it is no surprise that Josh has tried to carry on that tradition in his music today. He feels his albums are grounded in the traditional sounds of the music his grandparents listened to, but with the addition of a fresh sound to appeal to today's country music fans. He sings about everyday life including heartaches, happiness, fishing holes and everything in between. He introduced himself and his baritone voice (which has been compared to Johnny Cash) at the Grand Ole Opry in December 2001. He was showered with several standing ovations during his performance that night, which he will never forget. Six years passed since that memorable performance on the Grand Ole Opry stage and Josh's life has only improved. He had 2 multi-week #1 hits with "Your Man" and "Would You Go With Me," he was married and had a son named Hampton and he was a first-time nominee for Male Vocalist at the Country Music Association Awards. On October 27, 2007, Josh was formally inducted into the Grand Ole Opry by one of his idols, Vince Gill. Josh is one of the youngest members of the Grand Ole Opry. His debut album sold more than 1 million copies and his album, Your Man, was one of only four country albums to reach double platinum status in 2006.
You won't want to miss that baritone voice when Josh Turner takes the stage at Penn's Peak!!
Tickets go on sale Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00 am at all Ticketmaster outlets and at the Penn's Peak Ticket Office. Penn's Peak ticket sales are walk-up only, no phone orders.
