Tracy Byrd signed his first record deal in 1992 and since then, this Texan has found his niche. Overall, he has amassed 13 Top Ten hits, he is the host of 2 shows on The Outdoor Channel and he is a philanthropist raising money for local charities in his hometown of Beaumont, Texas. The competitive club scene in Beaumont is where he first was noticed by Nashville. He signed with MCA Records in 1992 and scored his first #1 single, "Holdin' Heaven." Four years later, he was awarded the Academy of Country Music's Song of the Year accolade for "Keeper of The Stars." Four of his albums achieved Gold status and No Ordinary Man was certified Double Platinum. With 15 years experience in the music business under his belt, Tracy feels versatility is one of the keys to his success, "I've been versatile and I've not been trying to conform to any one thing." His most recent album, Different Things, showcases his versatility. Tracy is also the first country artist to partner with A2M (Artist 2 Market Distribution) and his latest album will be sold and distributed through A2M. He is also co-producer on this album. Not only does he have a passion for singing and writing country hits, but he also has a deep passion for hunting and fishing. Therefore, his second job as host of two shows on The Outdoor Channel helps to satisfy his need for the outdoors. He began fishing with his grandma when he was 3 or 4 and by 6 he had his own shotgun. The stage is his first home, but the outdoors will always be his second.
