Science lovers join educator Candyce Testa (Pequot) in searching the Farmstead and nearby grounds for bugs while learning about the history, culture and biology of some common backyard insects. Kids learn fun facts such as how insects outnumber humans by about 200 million to one, that the honeybee was introduced to North America by the first colonists in the 17th century and that the woodlouse’s closest relatives are lobsters and crabs.
