Leadville Loppett

The Leadville Loppet is in its 10th year in 2013, and it is an annual fundraiser for the Mineral Belt Trail. This 44 km nordic ski race course meanders through rolling forested terrain in CMC’s Timberline Trail network and leads racers to the Mineral Belt. From there the skiers climb and descend abandoned rail grades left from Leadville’s historic mining era, and return to Colorado Mountain College for the finish.
