Just because they're the better one in town, doesn't make them good

The best of the two available theaters in Lawton, but that's not saying much.

Ticket prices are reasonable, especially if you are or have been in the military.
But they'll often only have one ticket line available, even during premiers of highly anticipated movies.

Video and audio quality......I would disagree with most of these reviews. Their quality is lacking. 7/10 in both areas. I don't want to hear anything about it being better than the theater in the mall. Compared to the state of the art, they are unappealing.

Customer Service (the real reason I was compelled to write this review) is absolutely horrendous. Their management is completely out of touch with how to mend a broken relationship with a customer.

I was unfairly accused of being drunk and yelling at an under age girl and her friends in a rated R movie (Ted) for playing with their cell phones constantly until I said something 20/30 minutes into the movie. I'm not here to defend myself, so I will not post the whole ordeal here. What I am going to say is during a conflict, they attempt no type of mediation or fact-finding. They have an off duty police officer as a security guard, and expect that customers will yield every right to be heard to his perceived authority.

When I sent them my feedback, they took an untimely 9 days to respond, again with no attempt at repairing a now completely broken customer-business relationship.

I have worked retail, and have had many opportunities to regain a customer's confidence with the company by hearing their stories and providing solutions. Carmike 8 seems to take the stance that as the better of the two theaters in town, it is okay to provide poor customer service.

If you have to go here, fine, I get it. But don't expect a great experience, you're just a butt in a seat.
