Statement Aurora Theatre, recently named Best Theatre Company in Atlanta (Creative Loafing’s Best of Atlanta 2010), is the professional theatre of Gwinnett County and home of the best cultural arts entertainment in Northeast Georgia. Aurora Theatre presents live entertainment to suit everyone’s taste. Aurora’s Mainstage Season is comprised of Broadway’s best plays and musicals alongside exciting new work. Aurora’s Studio LAB Series presents more contemporary plays. Additionally, Aurora produces electrifying concerts, hilarious club comedy events, enriching children’s programs and Metro Atlanta’s top haunted attraction – Lawrenceville, GA Ghost Tours. Aurora Theatre boasts a world-class facility with two performance venues, an elegant 250-seat main stage and an intimate 100-seat studio. The facility is nestled on the square in beautiful, historic downtown Lawrenceville, with FREE attached covered parking and is surrounded by a myriad of restaurants and shops. The City of Lawrenceville recognized the positive economic impact the arts have on its community and invited Aurora Theatre to serve as the cornerstone for their revitalization plans. In a unique partnership between city government, private development and Aurora Theatre, a 100-year-old church was transformed into a state-of-the-art theatre complex, which opened in May of 2007. Aurora Theatre now produces over 300 events each year, has 3100 subscribers and entertains more than 50,000 patrons each season.
