Through textiles, fracture and other examples of folk art, everyday life of the Pennsylvania Dutch can be revealed. Simplicity of design, consistent use of certain motifs and the use of color and decoration to enhance the aesthetic quality of everyday items marks the unique craftsmanship of one of the most distinct ethnic groups in early America.
