What used to be known as a supper club is alive, well and thriving in Las Vegas. The newest of the entertaining eateries is DeStefano's Italian Restaurant located in the plaza on the corner of Tropicana and Pecos. Your hosts, Bobby Capozzoli and Chef Timothy Pope, bring over three decades of restaurant management and ownership experience to the new and exciting endeavor.
This family-run restaurant serves Southern Italian dishes proven crowd-pleasers seven days a week. They add live entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sundays in a successful attempt to recapture that old time Las Vegas supper club feel for an evening out.
Bobby Capozzoli has been in Las Vegas for over 33 years and was the original owner of Tower of Pizza back in the day. It was not unusual to see headline performers enjoying the food and relaxing atmosphere after thrilling their audiences on the Strip.
Chief Chef Timmy has been preparing food for the public since he was 17 years old. He spent some of that time as the private chef to one of Las Vegas' favorite sons, Mr. Liberace. He was especially fond of Timothy's Fettuccine Alfredo and Tim is thankful the for time spend working for Liberace, as it enable him to finish his formal culinary education. I remember when Liberace came into the kitchen where my cousin and I were cooking. He asked Bobby who prepared his meal and Bobby pointed straight at me. Mr. Liberace walked over to me and I was afraid he hated his food. He asked to see my hands and I let him. He took my hands and said I had hands of gold, said Timothy.
Now, all of Las Vegas can benefit from his experience and cooking skills that he has raised to an art. So, if you enjoy good food, nice atmospheres and wonderful people, then you definitely need to spend an evening dining at DeStefano's. There's a lot of gambling in Las Vegas, but one thing in the Valley that isn't a gamble is lunch or dinner there at DeStefano's!
