Oct 20, 2008 - angeldreamer
Confusing mall/casino layout.

The entire layout of the hotel was very confusing. It's easy to get lost and end up in The Palazzo (the next hotel/shopping mall that is connected to the Venetian). I also took the wrong turn and instead of ending up at the parking garage, I ended up at a food court. I blame the odd layout on the indoor gondolas! It seems like everything had to be built AROUND the water feature.

The hotel has a very romantic feel (inside and out) with the boat rides going on, but the area was a little cramped and I felt a bit claustrophobic. It wasn't a very good shopping experience.

The hotel suite was also fairly small. Although it was $500/night and had luxurious linens, couch, desk with printer, 3 TVs, his/her sinks, etc. there wasn't much space and it felt cluttered. I don't think it was worth the price.

Tao is one of the sexier clubs in Vegas

The layout is perfect with the lounge really removed from the dance floor allowing folks to just hang out and party if they want to get away from the crowd and music. The DJs have always been great and drinks easy to get.

Mar 02, 2008 - Sylar on Bouchon
Went to Bouchon for my 21st birthday...

It's been 3 years and it's still the best meal in recent memory.

The waitstaff is courteous and knowledgeable, and more than willing to recommend a wine pairing and do an informal tasting if you can't decide. My waiter offered two chardonnay options to go with my trout, and since the *really* good one was like 30/glass he gave everyone at the table a taste and I got the other one, which to my palate was still 'ing perfect.

It's a bit pricey, but that's not a problem if you're not paying - this is a good restaurant for any occasion you want to remember. It's like E for French food - you can get the same thing again somewhere else, but it just won't be as good no matter how awesome it is.
