The son of a preacher, musician Vincent Furnier spent most of his formative years in Phoenix, AZ. It was here that Furrier formed his first rock band, the Earwigs, in 1965. He later changed the group's name to the Spiders and later the Nazz, enjoying only moderate success each time....

Gene Simmons is best known as the co-founder and arguable leader of the rock band Kiss (he's the one who wears the "demon" makeup and spits blood on-stage, among other antics). After the band became popular in the late '70s, Simmons embarked upon a relatively short-lived acting career that began with the made-for-TV movie Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park (1978)....

A performer best known for his tenure as the frontman of rock group Twisted Sister (a post he held from 1976 to 1987), Dee Snider almost single-handedly evolved that outfit from a glam rock act into a goth-tinged heavy metal act with an incomparably harsh sound, and a tremendous amount of on-the-sleeve influence by such forerunners as Alice Cooper....
