Join geologist Nick S. on a moderately strenuous hike into Ice Box Canyon. Because the canyon opens up to the northeast instead of the east, it is shaded and cooler. We will try to go as far as the waterfall, which requires some scrambling over boulders near the end of the trail. We will discuss the geology, plants and animals encountered along the way. Moderately strenuous, 3 miles. Ages 10+. Limited space/registration required.
