Educational Surrogate Parent Program - Volunteer Orientation/Training
Foster care children with disabilities need help to excel in school. The Educational Surrogate Parent Program trains volunteers as student advocates for school meetings and special education issues. No experience necessary. Volunteers will learn advocacy skills, school procedures, special education/children with disabilities laws, and about foster kids with behavioral issues and special education needs. Average of 25 hrs. per school year. Through nonprofit Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.
