I can't say I have ever really enjoyed country, but if I had to pick someone from that genre to listen to, I would take Garth Brooks. This might be because he has moved closer and closer to sounds more similar to classic rock from the 1980's, but he has stood the test of time and has remained on top of genre long enough to make me think of him as the Rolling Stones of Country.
