Absinthe

The circus just rolled into town, but don't expect any clowns who make balloon animals or elephants on parade. Instead, Absinthe has a woman wearing pasties who gets inside a balloon and an outrageous cast of characters who were likely plucked from places just as exotic as the African outback. Absinthe is an over-the-top, circus-style show for adults who want something a little edgier, a little more absurd and a lot less censored than a Cirque du Soleil show.

"If you're offended by words like f***… Show more or s*** you just might be at the wrong f***'in show," says Absinthe's ringmaster The Gazillionaire.

With dark slicked-down hair and a gold front tooth that matches his shoes, The Gazillionaire looks like a used car salesman in a tux, but his appearance matches his personality. He's loud, ridiculous and wildly entertaining. He acts as host and commentator for each act as they take the stage.

The Gazillionaire is aided by his loyal assistant Penny. Her quirky comments add a comical element to the show. When given the chance to perform solo, Penny decides to tell a story about her sock puppets. The story quickly goes from average to R-rated, resulting in laughter from the audience.

The two hosts are joined by Absinthe's cast of eccentrics including: a man and woman roller skating duo who defy imagination by performing high-speed spins and flips on a small, elevated, circular platform; a female performer known as "The Green Fairy" who sings and does a burlesque-style striptease; a team of three male tight-rope walkers whose routine includes doing shots of Jack Daniels Whiskey and a keg stand; and various other artists who perform incredible feats of virtuosity within mere feet of the crowd. Special guest Angel Porrino from "Holly's World" also performs in the show as The Weather Girl.

Absinthe takes place inside the spectacular Spiegeltent located at the center of Spiegelworld. With stained-cut glass, mirrored walls and billowing velvet and brocade, the 600-seat Spiegeltant transports audiences to a scene from the Moulin Rouge. The venue's in-the-round theater design offers unobstructed sight lines and an intimate viewing experience for the audience during the 90-minute show.

Spiegelworld is located in front of Caesars Palace. A maze of kitschy antiques stylized with early 20th Century European décor create Spiegelworld's carnival-style atmosphere that surrounds the Spiegeltent. Inside guests can indulge themselves at the beer garden, test their drinking aptitude with a game of "Flip Stein" or "Champagne Pong" or just relax and take in the alluring ambience by enjoying a drink in one of the many seating areas available inside Spiegelworld. A large tree-like platform situated in the courtyard area acts as a perch for a live DJ that spins after Absinthe is over.

If you're in the mood for a quick bite, Spiegelword is also home to Baby's Badass Burgers, a gourmet burger truck. Known for their tasty sliders and signature pink truck, Baby's Badass Burgers is a staple in Los Angeles. Now guests at Speigelworld will also have a chance to get their hands on some Badass buns.

Absinthe the show is a lot like Absinthe the drink. Sure you can decide to indulge in your favorite cocktail or beer. You already know you like it, and its ending result is predictable. But, if you try Absinthe, you're bound to get a few surprises and experience something wild, zany and absolutely fun.
