Fantastic

Lani Misalucha is amazing! She is
such a great performer and what a show she puts on. I gave the show only 4 stars because I didn't think the performers with her were that great. They need to polish up their part in the show. But Lani is spectacular and can carry the show alone! If you get the chance to see her then don't miss it, you will absolutely enjoy it.

"Voices" hits all the right notes

Earl Turner and Lani Misalucha
When Earl Turner takes the stage at the Shimmer Showroom inside the Las Vegas Hilton behind a montage of some of the greatest singers to ever grace Las Vegas, he acts like he belongs right there with them. And after three heart-pounding numbers where he works every inch of the stage (and the first few rows of tables), the audience is compelled to agree with him.

Giordano Entertainment’s new show “Voices” is billed as a duet, with Lani Misalucha balancing Turner’s act. When Turner first yields the stage, there is a noticeable energy void left behind. Misalucha is solid, yet unspectacular in her first few numbers. That shifts dramatically when she launches into an angelic aria. Suddenly, the counterbalance to Turner’s infectious, soulful energy is matched by the rich, beautiful tones of Misalucha’s legit three-octave range. More than a few tears were shed as Misalucha received the first of the nights several standing ovations.

The night continues with an enjoyable mixture of duets and solos, including Turner’s show-stopping, gospel rendition of Bill Withers “Grandma’s Hands” and Misalucha’s comedic parodies of Britney Spears, Tina Turner and Celine Dion. The only number that rung slightly false was the tribute to the the 2008 Tony Award-winning Broadway Musical, “In the Heights”. It was neither “off” nor “bad” , per se, but against the much more tightly woven tapestry of songs preceding it, seemed to be out of place.

At the end of the show, the crowd was on it’s feet dancing and clapping to the Earth, Wind and Fire classic, “September” as Turner and Misalucha worked the crowd one last time. Turner and Misalucha earned the standing ovation and, if they can put in that kind of energy nightly, should continue to do so for years to come.
