Fibers from Nature

Join Naturalist Lisa J. Sanchez for a look inside several plants with natural fibers. Learn to identify local fibrous plants and trees. Practice techniques of taking fibers from plants such as stinging nettle, milkweed, dogbane and yucca and transform them into usable cordage. Participants will be taught the reverse wrap method of making rope/cordage.
All ages. $2.00 per Person
An adult must accompany children.
