A History and Introduction to Lancaster County’s Historic Government Records

Monday, Apr 14 3:30p to 5:00p
LancasterHistory.org Lancaster, PA

How can an office of the court house no longer exist? Why were road petitions filed along side criminal reports? Is this in German? Many are baffled by questions when their research includes historic government records. This class aims to eliminate some of that confusion by charting the evolution of Lancaster County's court system from its beginnings to the early 1900s. See how as the county grew its government expanded. This class will include historic images and documents.
