Great Food, Great Place

What a great place to eat, especially to escape from the baron wasteland of dining that is Lakeland, FL’s chain restaurant scene. I’ve been to all the dinner shows at Julianne’s, and both the food and service has been top notch. As a regular customer, I would and have recommended Julianne’s to all of my friends.

As for the previous review, Wes just because you’ve eaten at half the places in Polk County, that doesn’t classify as half the world. Please learn how to spell if you’re going to bash a restaurant that appears you have a personal problem with. Anyone that compares homemade Italian pasta to Stouffers obviously doesn’t know what they are talking about. Get a life WES

Dinner Show - Bob Stewart

Might as well fired up the grill with the $100 we spent. You go in, no hostess, no directions, people milling around aimlessly. We turn right into the reserved area one of the GUESTS told us was for the show. Tables have small, torn scraps of paper with the reserved guests names on them like a kindergarten class. BUT, when we sit down, the server (Seth?), complete with a filthy, food stained tie with his monogram on it, tells us we have to get up, the tables have been changed.
Dinner was to be served at 7 PM. At 7:25 we get a small basic Romaine leaf salad (took server 3 trips to serve 6 small salads) and cold rolls complete with finger marks where they were torn apart from commercial packet. 20 minutes later we get our min course (3 choices - MEAT LOAF? @ $45 ticket!!!, Lasagna, or Salmon). The lasagna was a nice big slice all by itself, no garnish, garlic bread, cheese, etc. My wife said they should have bought Stouffers, better quality ingredients and taste! The salmon was nice with a tasteful mash potato mix accompanied by wilted, starved looking tasteless green beans.
Train your servers!!! _ reaching across guests, dirty plates, empty glasses are unacceptable!
The show was suppose to start at 8PM, finally at 8:20 PM with food still being served, Bob Stewart started his show. SAVE YOUR MONEY! My wife is a huge Rod Stewart fan so we suffered through it to the end. You know how bad musicians think, "If I keep cranking up the volume, no one will notice how bad I am". Joan, his wife, sang at the intermission and was GREAT! Unfortunately, Bob returned and kept turning up the volume as his kept wiping himself with his prop, Maggie's drawers (so appealing while you are eating)!
The owner of Julianne's was more interested in dancing with guests and staff than doing her job. So we sat with empty glasses and partially cleared tables during the 3 1/2 hour fiasco. SOOOOO PROFESSIONAL!

HINT: If you are going to make your guests sit and suffer for 3 1/2 hours, give them some decent chairs and not the $10 Sam's Club stackable chairs!

I do not know how the great reviews could be for the same restaurant we went to. I have eaten over 1/2 the world and this rates as one of my worst experiences for a professional establishment. ALL of my table-mates had the same comments about the food and utter lack of professionalism!

What a great surprise! Very unassuming from the exterior, but, oh, what a delight from start to finish on the inside. Owner and wait staff are attentive and professional--very nice pluses--but it is afterall all about the food. Truly exemplary in every aspect-quality, quantity, taste and presentation. Filet Mignon cooked to absolute perfection with a potato surprise on the side. Calamari and it's tangy, chunky tomato sauce on the side is without a doubt the best I have ever had! There were six of us for dinner and could not have been more pleased. will deinitely return and soon!

We had dinner tonight and it was the best we have had in a long time. We had calamary and mussels to start. My mixed drink was very good. The my wife had a salad which she loved. We both had the Filet Mignog. Would totally recommend this as a very fine restaurant and intend to go back.

Classy and delicious

We had our first experience at Julienne's Fine Dining in Lakeland, FL and it was far beyond our expectatiohs. Service was great, presentation was magnificent and the food was the best we've had in a very long time. We had the house salad which was excellent. An ample basket of warm bread was served with butter on the side. The entrees were generous and served hot. The owner, Joanne, is available to chat with. The environment itself was neat, classy and very clean. Prices are reasonable. We had the salmon and chicken Marsala. Our compliments to the chef and the entire staff.
