Stephen a. Douglas Featured in New Civil War Museum Exhibit

Stephen A. Douglas: From the Shadow of Lincoln, is now on display in the John M. Antaramian Gallery, and runs through March 20, 2012. Depicted through paintings, lithographs, sculptures, personal artifacts, campaign posters and cartoons from private collector George Buss, Lincoln's political rival, is seen as the more popular of the two men. Oct. 1 at 1PM, Buss presents “In the Shadow of a Giant” a talk about his research on Douglas. A public reception will follow the presentation from 2-4 p.m.
