Basic Keelboat Certification Class

Upon completing this class, sail a 25'-30' boat in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision. Classroom training includes boating terminology, sailing theory, rules of the road, safety, aids to navigation, knots and more. The on-the-water portion of training (12 hours) includes all basic sailing maneuvers (tacking, jibbing, heaving to, and person overboard recovery). Also receive one free 5-hour rental of a 27' sailboat for use on Galveston Bay. There are no refunds, credits or transfers after 5pm on the Thursday prior to class.
