Korn's cathartic alternative metal sound positioned the group among the most popular and provocative to emerge during the post-grunge era. Although they are very much their own band, Staind are often linked to Limp Bizkit, whose singer Fred Durst was instrumental in aiding the band's career. Early on, Durst suggested that lead singer Aaron Lewis integrate solo acoustic touches into the band's heavy-rock approach....

Five Finger Death Punch Remove performer from this event
Formed by a bevy of metal veterans, Five Finger Death Punch emerged from the muck of Los Angeles with a form of thrash as potent and abrasive as its name. Led by Zolthan Bathory, the band stoked a sensation on Korn’s "Family Values" tour with its irreverent riffs and dark, off-kilter lyrics....

Nov 24, 2007 - dszs5298 on Five Finger Death Punch
The Way of the Fist is the best metal record in years.

This album is brillant. One of the best in years. I had the pleasure of meeting the lead singer, Ivan Moody and his bandmates after their set in PA at the Family Values Tour this past summer (Aug 07'). Ivan was very kind and gracious. All the guys are all great. These guys blow away most of the metal bands putting out records today. Lyrically, musically...brilliant.
