Native American Heritage Day in Jonesboro
The 30th Anniversary of Native American Heritage Day takes place on Jonesboro's Stately Oaks Plantation where a life-size working replica of a Muscogee Indian Village. Families can sip sassafras tea, munch on corn cakes, stroll among exhibits of arrow making, beading, pottery making and firing, basked and finger weaving. Adults may browse and buy beautiful hand-crafted jewelry. Indian dancers and musicians will perform. Native American storytellers will recount tribal legends and lore.
