Contra Dance

Contra dance is a dance form from New England done in long lines of couples (But it’s not “line” dancing.) It’s related to English Country dance, the kind you see in such movies as “Pride & Prejudice.” Many of the moves are similar to old time square dance. Contra dance is easy to learn, fun & a great social activity. Come with or w/out a partner. All dances are taught and called as needed. Wear comfortable clothing especially comfortable shoes- like sneakers, flats, even bowling shoes!
