Freebird Live has evolved into one of the country's premier smaller live music venues. Showcasing a spectrum of national and regional touring artists, as well as, select inspiring local artists. The name "Freebird Live" reflects our focus on "live music", offering a variety of genres to satisfy your musical interests.
Freebird Live features the latest state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. A non-smoking two story music venue with a current capacity of 700 with 2 full bars, a unique railed balcony overlooks the ground floor stage. In addition, there is an open air exterior wrap around balcony designated as the smoking area.
Although few of the players became successful enough to tell the tale, San Antonio, TX, was home to numerous heavy metal bands in the 1980s, like progressive metal cult idols Watchtower, the other Slayer, and, more obscure than both, Juggernaut....
Railroad Earth emerged from the breakup of one of New Jersey's most popular bands, From Good Homes, in early 2001. Later that year, with appearances at some of the major summer festivals on the bluegrass circuit under their belt -- including the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, and High Sierra Music Festival -- Railroad Earth showed that their music could go well beyond the realm of traditional bluegrass to incorporate folk, Celtic, jazz, and rock music....
Born in South Carolina and raised in California, Trevor Hall developed an affinity for summery acoustic music, from the beachside ambience of Jack Johnson to the leisurely stroll of Bob Marley. Having spent his teenage years at a boarding school for the arts, Hall dedicated his life to music upon his high-school graduation....
Up-and-coming may have been a good way to describe guitarist, singer, and songwriter Anders Osborne earlier in his career, but Osborne's fame has now spread beyond the borders of New Orleans, a city where he first cut his teeth and developed a reputation for incendiary live shows....
