The Association was formed in 1965 after an electric folk group, The Men, had disbanded. The six members of the newly founded The Association rehearsed for months before performing in nightclubs, coffeehouses, high schools, colleges, proms and parties throughout Southern California. Due to their large fan base in Los Angeles, The Association’s first album topped the charts with their songs “Along Comes Mary” and “Cherish.”

Allister Whitehead & John Crossley are not part of THE ASSOCIATION.

In 1967, The Association made history being the first band anywhere to open a rock festival - the now historic, Monterey Pop Festival. One of the most successful bands to come out of the 60s, they have sold over 80 million records, tapes, Cds and DVDs. They’ve earned a number of achievement awards as well as 6 gold records and 2 platinum records.

Original members are guitarists/vocalists Jim Yester, Larry Ramos & Russ Giguere. The group also features Larry’s brother Dell, and Jordan Cole, son of the late original member Brian Cole. This wonderful group has Seven Billboard Top 40 hit records including two #1s “Cherish”,“Windy”)
