Volunteer: Invasive Artichoke Removal in Quail Trail Area
Artichoke thistle competes with native plants and spreads rapidly once established. We will spread native seed in areas removed of artichoke thistle, the next step in creating a more diverse, native plant community. Irvine Ranch Conservancy will supply all tools required. Wear long sleeve shirts, pants, sturdy closed toe shoes, and bring plenty of water. This is strenuous and requires some bending over and cutting thistles. This activity requires registration at www.irlandmarks.org/activities.
